Music and nature touch my soul, my heart, my life, and give birth to emotions for which there are no words.
An American Hymn
I have seen a summer day
that slowly opens like a rose
along a quiet road that wanders by
And I have smiled and wonder'd
Where it goes
1
I have stumbled through the night
Alone as any man can be
Then found a silent canyon full of stars
And in my heart I heard them telling me
I was home
2
The gentle winds, the rains that fall
The tallest trees, and I'm part of it all
3
I've seen the silver mountain tops
And golden prairies on my way
Now everywhere I go across the land
I stand so proudly in the sun and say
I am home
4
I've dreamed of eden all my life
I find it more and more each day
Now everywhere I go across the land
I stand so proudly in the sun and say
I am home

That Grand Canyon picture is really beautiful! I loved being able to see so many stars when I visited there three years ago.
ReplyDeleteI like number (1) I could just hear all of the birds chirping and singing high above...
ReplyDeleteand number (5) is so serene and tranquil there is always something soothing about water and beaches...
Now about the solar water fountain"... They are so much fun to have around in the garden, even if you don't get consistent sunshine... I don't have any electrical outlets close enough for me to enjoy a fountain...So I found an alternative.
It has it's pros and cons...Clouds, shadows, partly sunny days, days with almost No
sun light at all.. But I come to expect this because after all it's solar...My birds love it and I like the cute little trickles of water sounds it makes when dropping back into the barrel.
Inspiring words and they ring especially true when you are far away from "home" like I am today.

Lovely! I am not overly familiar with every place but the images are beautiful. I also love Placido Domingo!

ReplyDeleteI am glad you all came by and left your calling cards.
What a wonderful poem. At every picture I could say 'been there'. And I'm so grateful of it. We live in such a gorgeous country. Thank you so much for sharing.

ReplyDeleteRosie, thank you for dropping by. Yes, we live in a country that has a vast array of vistas - if man will just leave it alone.
